So you are saying that you dont use inhibitor in ya radiator , or another way to look at it using your way, dont you use salt or pepper.
I don't add anything - I use the genuine coolant from the dealer. Another forum, there's a guy saying that using the manufacturer coolant is rubbish - next breath he says that the only problem is a sensor that the "Brand X" coolant he used disolved. Duh?

As for my EA82T - its got GTX3 going in. In the BMW M5, I use Castrol Edge 10w60 Synthetic.

I recently found noisy tappets a problem (not usual for my L) and did an oil change as the first port of call. I used the additive and a couple of weeks later changed the oil for a slightly better Helix oil. Problem solved so far. On the second oil change I found that there was still plenty of deposits mixed in so I am happier to have cleaner oil in the old pump now- this is perhaps a good step to check before undergoing the bigger task of changing oil pump seals that I'm sure are on the way out at 330,000kms.
'91 Sportswagon - 3" lifted, 14" speedys, 27" Nankangs + lots of small details improved. Wouldn't mind some extra grunt from an EJ.

Similar to me, i've an EJ22 (93) which is currently at 296 000 kms.
Not one to know much about oils, but from what i've read here, i just bought some Valvoline SF 20W-50... is a step in the right direction?

Don't wanna know about brands, seeing everyone has different thoughts, but should i be going thicker or thiner and what ever else,

Cheers.
