Hi,
Im just wondering if anyone has had any luck waterproofing their engine to go through some deeper water.
Things like sealing leads, sealed dizzy , snorkel ?
If you have, and it worked well, any advice?
So you know I am going to attempt this with an EA82 Carby motor. Sick of having to hold back at water crossings.
Cheers,
Gary

one trick we have always used to protect the dizzy is to cut the the fingers outta a rubber glove and run all the leads through them then put the rest of the glove over the distributer then run some silicon around all the wholes then cable tie them all. it seems to work well unless you do get water in it then its a prick to take of to fix

Also change your air intake, the L's take their air from just behind the front bumper on the right hand side...
Also see what others have done in regards to snorkels, SuBaRiNo used a dihatsu air filter before the stock filter to run a snorkel from... I'm pretty sure it was a dihatsu...
