ea81 Idling Issues

Hi,

This is driving me nuts. I have a standard Brumby with the ea81. When you first start the engine (cold or warm) it wont idle untill a few gentle revs of the throttle. After this it idles, but its rougher then heshem underwear. When you really give it the beans a few big revs it will drop back to a smooth idle. I've ran some nulon jet cleaner through the carby already. I've noticed its helped the car a bit. Some days it wont idle at all.

After going over the whole carby I was looking over the vacuum lines. Theres a little hose there by itself not plugged to anything. And its got me absolutly bluffed where it goes. It plugs into was looks like a little pump, it has power terminals and its located infront of the driver side strut. From the pump it goes to a blue Circular object near the carby thats bolted to the manifold. Sorry Im mechanically illiterate.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Have you tuned the idle speed/throttle? Sure its not leaking? have you considered about rebuilding it?
Cheers

I found the problem, I think its called the antidiesel solinoid wasn't working properly. I took it off gave it a quick clean and shes idling better now. Still a little high thou. I've noticed when the throttle arm is meant to be sitting dead, the large spring thats connects to a pivot out towards the radiator has absolutly no weight on it at all. I've put a little tension on this spring and its nearlly making the ute idle properly. It still not pulling the throttle arm all the way back. Could this be the wrong spring. Does anyone have a spare one of these spring I could possibly buy?
