Hey mate, Best idea would be to go an EJ engine. With the amount of wiring adn stuff you have to to and the power increase, its easier and more benifical to EJ it.

And i prefer the ea81 over the 82 as well, stronger motor and wont die!

It has been done before so I'm sure there is someone out there that can help but it's not me :) but I can tell you that the EA82 is a lot wider than the EA81 and it comes very close to the chassis rails. Because of this I'd also recommend you use an EJ series engine because you'll need to do just as much work (wiring and fuel setup) as you would fitting the EA82 EFI model. The EJ is also a lot more reliable than the EA82.

You should be able to find a EJ22 for almost the same price as the EA82 EFI

Also with regards to the lift kit, also look for someone or wreckers that have a lift kit in the MY (EA81) wagons as they are the same as the Brumby ;)

Another idea is to make an ea81 turbo out of the brumby, I just so happen to have all the gear somewhere too...

But even then, an ej conversion isnt really that hard
