Have i been had on eBay?
I bought a set of supposedly new TopGun ignition leads for my EJ25 and when they arrived, i opened the box to find Bosch leads.
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/subaru top gun spark plug leads, new
The seller claims that she bought them and never used them.
I know bosch are probably just as good, but i feel a little ripped, even though i only paid $40 for them
Opinions?
What would you do?

Are the leads exactly the same as the one in the picture on ebay?
I'd rather go for Bosch than other brands, currently I have blue NGK brand ones.
Cheers

in the strict terms of the auction you have a legal right to return the item as it is not as described but having said that bosch are way better than topgun leads (IMHO)
so you can file a dispute to get your money back or use the leads but leave feedback (positive but nasty:) ) stating that the leads while good were not the brand described and give them low star rating

top gun = sh*t! I had these for a month before I bought the blue NGK that AP is talking about - thaey are the bee's knees, very happy with them.
The top guns actually came off 4 times on #1 cylinder, and twice on #3. Switched to NGK and will never use top gun ever again.
I'd say you got the better end of the deal, $40 bosche leads, thank you very much!ds

So with the knowledge that Bosch are the better of the two, how do i tell if these are new or used?

Ok i tested them, readings are as follows
2.62kΩ, 2.83kΩ, 3.45kΩ & 3.42kΩ
All well below 5000Ω so well within their spec.
My concern was how did the Bosch leads get into the Topgun box? Did a parts dealer accidentally put a display item in the wrong box? Did somebody return the leads they just bought, but took their used leads back in the new box?
Who knows?
I'll put em in and if they work ok, i'll give neutral feedback

I will let you all in on a little trade secret about ignition leads.....
Quality goes -> NGK, TopGun, Champion, Bosch.
Bosch is the only manufacture still to use carbon core leads on their 'standard' range.
Bosch leads make auto stores money they have the highest GP % of any on the market....
NGK, TopGun & Champion use a stainless steel spiral wire setup.
Bosch use the spiral wire in there 'performance' range.
TopGun & Champion are made in Australia by the same company.
NGK are Japanese made.
