Gen3 Outback Radiator
I have a small crack in the top tank of my radiator in my 2001 Outback.
Its held together with some 2 part epoxy for the time being.
In my search for one, local radiator shop wasnt helpful, Repco wanted $650 then i found this on ebay, seems pretty cheap at $327 delivered

It seems pretty cheap, but can i get cheaper? Or should i be wary of a cheap radiator?

You get what you pay for, like anything. I payed $450 for a OEM one from my local radiator joint and never had an issue... until the cheap hose split in the middle of nowhere. Make sure you get good hoses!Suparoo wrote:

ebay ones sounds good but shop around mate...
there is so many radiator places out there, they can recondition yours or get a "change over" one or something... they'll have one..

Your best bet is to PM El_Freddo, but this section of his conversion thread has some details. If you search 'alloy radiator' by 'El_Freddo' you should get a fair bit of info.
I've seen the rad in the flesh and it is very smick, although I still reckon he needs another fan

Well anyway thanks for the piece of advice i think you are right about that. i just saw a radiator which is only $320 but i am having second thoughts about this. the previous owner told me that he just have trouble with but not with his radiator but how come it is a very cheap price.ScubyRoo wrote:You get what you pay for, like anything. My $327 radiator is still going strong.
But yes, always replace the hoses when you replace the radiator Cheap insurance really
