EA82 HG's are plus 20 degrees on torque

Had a quick word with a fella in the know at the time L Series & their RX's were around, tells me a factory circular came out advising EA82 head gaskets were to be tightened a further 20 degrees beyond final torque stage when renewing to avoid the then problem they had. He used to fit up the rally spec bits as required consisting of bigger exhaust, ECU etc. Not sure what the etc was...... but figure he was worth listening to
