Looking at purchasing the above car and have been told its leaking oil alot when its running. So much so I wouldnt make the hour long drive back home.

is this a common problem? It sounds like while the cars running, its leaking like a sieve from somewhere where it has too much pressure.
Any thoughts?

L Series and Brumby are different things. L's are shape after the commonly known Gen2 Brumby.

Oil pressure switches can blow and leak real bad. new one for about ten bucks - is one suggestion. Located RHS at the front just on the oil pump, RHS of main crank pulley

About same location for either std Brumby EA81 or L Series EA82 OPS

Got a photo or a link to a pic of this beast? That'll confirm for sure what it is exactly. It could have an EA82 in it, the chassis rails would have been modified in some way or another to make it fit.
