The car was running perfect this morning and is still running perfect.

I started it this arvo and it was idling high, like it does when the motor is cold but once it warmed up it didn't drop down. I'd say it's idling at 1000-1500rpm...
I can adjust the idle screw but the idle only increases, i turn the screw the other way but the idle doesn't decrease (It used to before..), no matter how much I turn the darn thing. I can adjust the air/fuel mix screw and if you completely shut it off the car usually dies but now it doesn't even get close to dying, just the idle is slightly rougher but still high.

I adjusted the clutch recently, blew a fuse for the ciggy lighter and used a live wire that I found under the dash for the stereo. That's it.

Any idea's?

Auto choke is stuck on.

Yep plus one on the auto choke, youve tried revving it?? Otherwise find out which part of the carby it is and try get it unstuck..

Want to sort it out as I have 3 more people coming to look at buying it tomorrow. Won't hurt it to drive it around with the choke on would it?

Could it have to do with the constant live wire I daizy chained off for power for the stereo? I just found a rand live wire in the steering colum and used that.. Being a carby I wouldn't of thought so..

Also guys where would I be looking for the choke? On the carb somewhere I'm guessing.. a screw? Or if it's stuck would WD-40 work to loosen it up?

yer WD or Inox might free it up. The adjustment screw is hard to see and adjust but as mentioned earlier it is probably just stuck/jamed and needs lubing

Can you shove up a pic same size as your sig of the RHS of the cars side of the carby (throttle cable side) . I think they are just above the cable pull wheel as the choke blade is at the top above the throttle blade, on just one barrel - the primary barrel.

Could also be your A/C idle up vacuum actuator, or the solenoid that controls it.
