hi,
Kinda new to the Subi's. I've got an EJ251 to fit into my volkswagen from a 2000 Gen 3 liberty. I'm buying some parts from;
http://discountedsubaruparts.com/partlo ... siteid=528
I want a complete Engine gasket set, Currently I think it's Part number 10105AA860, but I'm not sure and discounted parts can only confirm it would fit a US model.
Does anyone know the part number for my gasket kit or know of any website where I can fine the information
Thanks

I know from older models Subaru part numbers used here are same in US as they are of Japanese origin

Hi and Welcome bullifamilie,
Here's the complete kit you require

I prefer to use genuine gaskets but this is your choice. PM Frog (Andy) for a price on the complete genuine kit, as I have used aftermarket ones over the years and always have issues with them.
Oh and what model VW are you fitting this EJ25 into? Got pics?

Thanks for the info guys. Sent Frog an e-mail and he phoned me straight back, nice guy, I'm now waiting for prices.
The EJ25 is going in this;
It's a 1990 VW Syncro (4wd) transporter. I've been on and off this type of conversion for the past 10 years, but the old VW 2.1litre engine just doesn't have enough torque for me anymore, particually in all this sand we have over here.

Second that on Frog and going genuine , hang the extra if there is any. My genuines never take up more when rechecked after initial warm up and cool down, where as every other non genuine I have used has squished more.
Genuine look the goods

Frog (Andy) is great and will look after you. If you're planning on keeping the engine in your car for a while, then get genuine, you'll never regret it.
Your Syncro looks in good shape and would love to see it on the dunes oneday. Here's my Syncro (Synthia), she needs a bit of work but as you know they are hard to find and this old girl didn't cost too much
One day I've love Synthia to look like this

Mr RSR55, nice looking bus, would love to get out in the dunes someday. Ours is used loads off-road, I'm constantly amazed of the places we get to, we love it.
I've owned 8 of these buses over the last 12 years but the syncro is by far the best, the EJ25 will make it even better. Kenn to get it installed now

Thanks bullifamilie, I cannot wait to get her in the sand. I'm hoping to fit the EE20 Diesel in her, so it could be some time before she gets to the dunes.
Wow.. 12.. you most love your VWs

Synthia is my first VW but I've done many conversions into them over the years. The last was a T2.5 which I fitted an EJ20 Quadcam non-turbo in it.
If you're ever heading down to Rocko, just drop in and show off your Syncro
Cheers,
Paul

Bullifamilie, only show him yours if he's going to show you his - 22B or the Syncro (which I didn't know he had hiding over there!)
And welcome to the forum. Now to go and do some research on these machines!
Cheers

Research is what I do best, I have a problem spending money and gettig the jobs done, I've been wanting to do a subi conversion for far too long.
I'd like to drive a EE20 powered syncro, definately a good choice.

Sorry Bennie, Synthia is still on the east coast, I wasn't going to say too much until she arrives. I didn't know much about them either until a work mate from Durban told me about them. Then Jules finds a link on the stand alone ECU for the EE20.. now it's just finding time and money
