From what I've heard discussed & seen 1st hand, a plated LSD seems to work the best with a lifted wheel

All the best,

EL_Feddo, I had trouble with that too! I thought about welding my stuffed open diff, but don't really wanna stuff the centre diff as the car is my daily driver.

I got a used 2005 Forester (base model X and manual) diff with 2 rear CV's for $150.
Yeah mate I've been following your probs...IIRC you had the diff on the ground at work & your Foz out of action for a while. You got very down on it...understandabletaza wrote:Just put a VLSD in less than a week ago, I'm fine
if yours is automatic then it would be 4.11, if its manual - I think you have 3.9:1 in yours.NachaLuva wrote:Thanks mate, PM sent
Do you think it will be 4.11:1? & what would I need to do if anything to fit it?
You might be thinking of the liberty's but in the manual SF Foresters(non turbo) its definately 4.11 and 4.44 in the auto. then opposite in the turbo SF's. 4.11 in the aut0 and 4.44 in the manuqlAlpineRaven wrote:if yours is automatic then it would be 4.11, if its manual - I think you have 3.9:1 in yours.
