Generally any auto from a Gen 2 Liberty (1994-1998, BD or BG chassis) should do the trick, as long as its the same ratio, 3.9 for FWD, 4.111 for AWD, 4.444 for Outback

edit:

A quick Google search reveals its from a 2.2L FWD Libetry, so should be a 3.9 ratio

But can you post your VIN number that is stamped on the firewall above the brake booster, or off your rego label?

This should do the trick www.ebay.com.au/itm/2WD-AUTO-TRANSMISSI ... -1997-1998
Current rides: 2016 Mitsubishi Triton GLS & 2004 Forester X
Ongoing Project/Toy: 1987 RX Turbo EA82T, Speeduino ECU, Coil-pack ignition, 440cc Injectors, KONI adjustale front struts, Hybrid L Series/ Liberty AWD 5sp
Past rides: 92 L series turbo converted wagon, 83 Leone GL Sedan, 2004 Liberty GT Sedan & 2001 Outback

was the only auto box I could find, it is 2WD. you may want to try sunspares as they are in QLD as well.

Can I point out... the ratios are incorrect, it should be 3.7:1 in FWD and AWD manuals. 4.11 for automatics, Outback had 3.7 - US Turbo Outback are 4.44 & Turbo Liberty/Legacy also had 4.44).

Basically you can straight swap the gearbox from any other automatics between Gen 2 years.

I was referring to automatic models only. Those ratios were from a FSM and I know auto Outbacks are 4.444 because I have a rear diff in pieces in my shed
