what is the difference in length between an L and my front driveshafts? I am having problems with my brumby breaking/pulling apart the DOJ on the diff end of the shaft. This started when I fitted slightly longer adjustable caster rods. I have also moved the control arm mounting hole out 12mm to fix a camber problem. It has a 50mm lift kit with standard springs fitted(not HD). I had L control arms on my last MY and used L driveshafts with a long travel front strut and had no problems. I dont wish to do the same with this vechile.

the shaft itself minus joints on both ends is 45 mm longer in the DL L series 5 speed manual wagon I hads bits from compared to my Brumby.

. the diameter of the shaft was less than my Brumby bits for comparison.

the stub axles are different in that the L is wider between where each bearing sits, the spline is shorter for the hub. overall length is same as MY

I wrote this stuff in my manual so is not off top of me head!!

Thank you for your replies. the problem was with the control arms being spaced out too far. have fixed this and adjusted the camber by modding the offset of the strut spacers.
