Heya folks
I am have a Brumby with the following gearbox code
TY752VD1AA from searches I discover that it is from a 1990 2.0L Liberty and is an AWD box. I need a new box bad as the noise it makes it is getting worse.
I have a lead on another AWD box on Gumtree and its code is TY752XH2AA So using same chart i found its a 1991 2.2L Liberty but I cant find any clues what the XH stands for and more importantly what the diff ratio is
I am fairly sure it will be the 4.11 but dont want to buy a box I cant use or then have to swap out diff as my rear diff has just been rebuilt.

Can anyone help with a box or help with the codes.

Peter

Manual you found it comes with a low near, you will have to bring in the cabin on lever. And yes it has a gear 4,111

Both the 1990 and 1991 should be 3.9 ratio

Goodness me Paul
So many different opinions re the final drive.
I would be happier if it was a 3.9 as I drive on main highway into work every morning and the 3.9 is a taller gear for cruise.
There must be table somewhere stating the obvious....anyone

There was no standard for this other than what Subaru keep on the VIN tags but now knowing yours is from an import VZ Legacy then most likely a 4.11

I'll have a look at what I have and if there isn't anything in my collection, I'll see what else I can find in WA. I know you don't really want a dual range but I know I have a Gen2 Liberty dual range box and diff which I've been told the Gen2 have 3.7 ratio. You could just fit this without fitting the d/r cable and this would then just be a single range AWD box.

That's what I've always found in the Gen 2s while in the parts yards ;)
