hi just rebuilt the top end of my ej25d engine from my 97 outback and was just in the process of refitting the timing belt , i brought a dayco timing belt kit from ebay with the pulleys, the number of the kit was ktba 161. ive just noticed that one of the idler pulleys is a little different than the other, the part number on the packing seems correct, its k126 , the new one has a ridge around it, is a little narrower but exactly the same width, is it correct? really wanna make sure before fitting, i can try adding a pic , cheers for any help

A picture would help, I noticed on Ebay USA that some kits (for the EJ25) won't fit EJ25 engines with a build date after 3/97.

Have you contacted the seller?

You may have been given an idler for the SOHC EJ25, only one I can think of that has a lip on the idler.
