Hi all,
Has anyone ever seen a viscus centre diff for an L series? Or a viscus coupling that could be put in the centre driveshaft?

nope - best to do a driveline conversion and use a lib gearbox with a built in center diff

I've just done the AWD conversion to my L series. Using an Outback gearbox with a 4kg viscus centre diff....let me just say its pretty damn average in the boggy sand. Mind you I still have an open diff at the rear, I'll see how the car goes with a clutchpack RX diff back there soon.
To get similar performance to an L series box which has a locked centre, you really need to change the standard 4kg centre diff for an STI one which is 12kg.
I'm hunting for one now but I don't think I'm gonna like the price

i think you can get the centre diff modified to greater pressure. Its probably cheaper than getting an STI box.
