Remove diff hanger lift?
Remove diff hanger lift?
I don't like how low my diff sits.
Removing the lift blocks from the diff hanger will tuck the diff way up out of the way nicely.
Obviously this will put the rear CV's and rear tailshaft uni joints at a wilder angle....but it doesn't look to me like it will really be that bad.
Anybody know, is the angle really that bad?

why dont you halve the height of the blocks for starters, and see how your shafts handle it. It is going to put the driveshafts on a nasty angle, but who knows you might get away with it
also you might end up with some tailshaft vibration having the gearbox dropped and the rear diff at original height..

hmm I think the part of the diff which the tailshaft connects to will actually end up lower. I was intending to remove the diff hanger (moustache bar) lift blocks only which will cause the diff to pivot on the front diff mounting.

Seems like I might hold off on this for a while. I had overlooked the small matter of a 3" stainless steel pipe directly above the diff hanger preventing it from moving up any further!
