Auto Gearbox EA82T

Post by Rabbitoh » Sun Nov 05, 2006 7:04 pm

Hi all,

I'm hoping someone can answer this problem. I put an EA82T engine into a L series sedan , auto gearbox. Upon heavy accelaration the car jolts, normal acceleration it is fine. Is this "kick down" can it be adjusted as this is a most annoying problem, aside from that the car goes great. Any help appreciated, thanks.

could be kickdown.did you use the ea82T torque converter? They tend to liven up things a little.

No I didn't. Where can I get one fitted in Sydney, is this an expensive exercise?

Thanks.

I have a torque converter from a 4 spd AWD auto, you can have it if you come pick it up

I have found out that a turbo modulator is needed as well as checking the vacuum pressure. So I will follow up on these two things first. THanks
