90subi and i picked up some free front cv's. but apparently they dont fit our L bangers coz they have different shaped/sized splines. what are these off- just the rx g/box only?
if so i have one for sale as it will be no use to me.

Also suits most MPFI gearboxes and all turbo ones, whether or not they are fulltime. They'll be 30 spline, so they are also handy if you ever fit a Liberty box into an L series (and MY too I beleive).

At $20 they're sold, I'll take them. I need spares for my wagon, I'm expecting to be breaking front CV joints too when my wagon gets out there.

L series MPFI and Turbo gearboxes are 25 spline (same as EJ boxes).
L series carby gearboxes are 23 spline.

Don't make me dig up posts of you writing that in the past yourself Tim :P

Subi this means you still have a carby gearbox in your car - I might be wrong but I *think* this is an advantage in your case - they actually have a lower low range.....someone correct me??

Yeah, 25 spline. Where'd I get 30 from?

Been hanging out with the wrong crowd, that must be it.

I am assuming that for $20 you still want them though?

For MY you'll need to change the outer joints or move the inner joints to MY shafts.

Otherwise they'll never bed in and it makes for some scary driving.

subi you may aswell keep them.....if you need to use the outers its just a matter of swapping your carby inners onto those shafts.

Guys I just want the inners hey. Prefer the whole inner joint, couldn't care less about the shafts & outers.
