Hi Guys,
I was wandering if anyone would have an electronic copy of an exploded view of the hi/lo range 5spd gearbox for a '92 liberty.
I put it all back together and have a thin metal thing that must catch some of the oil being splashed around and feeds a bearing or something.
SO would love to know where it goes before pulling the gearbox back apart.
Cheers
Tony

If it's the one that feeds the front input bearing with oil, then it's the one I missed too.. I didn't bother putting it back in.. The box makes a hissing bearing noise but it done that before I pulled it apart. I lookedat it and figured theres bearings that do similar jobs which don't get oil fed to them so it can't be that bad for it.. No problems other then noise so far (which I don't think is a symptom, but we'll leave that to debate.)

Yeah,
It entered my mind that realistically the gearbox would last for ages without it. But being a mechanical engineer I realised that it does offer much needed oil.
So gearbox is getting pulled back apart this weekend.
Exciting Stuff....more fun than sitting at my desk though

Too true.. I was about to put the gearbox and EJ22 in my Brumby when I found the part, so I just left it.. Although if I get a LSD or front auto locker for the Brumby the box will come apart, get all new bearings and that little oil feeder.

I can't remember off the top of my head. Buy them from a bearing supplier. Will be heaps cheaper.
