Zen and the CV Boot

Ok..as some of you may know I have been working on a new version of the humble cv boot.
They have been pissing me off since Subie day 1.
In the past 6 months I have made 2 leather ones (dismal failures),
keeping the shape under extreme centruifical forces is very difficult indeed!
So, I went back to the drawing board and started again.
I believe I have made a little breakthrough, keeping the finer details under wraps at the moment but.....
I will be revealing (in the coming month) an armoured CV boot.
They will not be particularly cheap, nor will they tear or I will replace them.
Heads up to the Tassie crew....you have been selected as the extreme testing division.
Different versions will be trialled, lets see which will take the punishment.
They are side specific and the turbo fellas will get a heatproof version for the drivers side inner.
Discussion is welcome.

Make sure you look into the patent/registering side of things for when it really takes off and makes you millions, hate to have someone steal ur idea. Its a good place to start an invention as heaps of cars still use them and probably will for years to come.

The proof will be in the pudding...Lets see if Bluesteel can break them first.
If all goes well I will be making them, selling them and retiring , growing my toenails into old age.....
I cannot find anytihng like it in the universe.

Counting on it John.
Fuji doesn't test them as hard as you do.

That sounded like the thud of a gauntlet being thrown down.
I will play.
I have a set promised for Stuart as well, who can tear them first?
Let's bet.

By the way... who tears which boot more??
Inners or outers?
Drivers or copilots?
I am assuming its the lifted guys having the most problems, am I correct?
Give me some market research..

Thanks bloke!
Now if I can just get to a damn race, I could rip some boots up.
Oh, and I seem to destroy drivers side front inners at the rate of about 4 times faster than all the others.

that's where a little camera hooked up down below would be handy while out bashing the shrubery to see what it is that bites ya boots. Mine now perish due to limited dirt work and my soon to be patented CV boot guards

Has to be heat, theres no interference with the steering column.
Both my turbo Brumbys do it. A heat shield would be a good idea.

yeh, i do driverside inners more often than the rest as well. Except i got no turbo

...blame it on the exhaust
