Clutch adjustments.

Close enuf 2 this section...

It will only take me a second to figure out once my head is under the bonnet however can anyone remember which way is which when adjusting the clutch cable. EG bolts towards the radiator = clutch take up closer to the floor. (ATM it is taking up when my knee is around my ear-hole… preference is about a half inch off the floor).

Sounds like you need to loosen the nut, the bolt on the cable needs to move towards the back of the car creating more slack on the cable.
