What sealent for oil check tube ea81

When doing my clutch i had to take out the oil check tube and when i inquired about a gasket but the subaru shop said to use a sealent on it. Is the stuff i want anerobic or aerobic, any good brands?

oil check tube is dipstick tube I take it ..not oil fill tube ?
oil fill tube I have used aviation gasket goo mit gasket
dip stick tube mmmm? Don't remember, i'll have to take a look
I don't recall having to remove it for clutch jobs, actually I hardly ever look at it between oil changes - stupid I know- I can't remeber where it goes in block !! No o ring ? STAG goo'l do

yeh i did mean dipstick i couldnot think of that name b4 hence the crap one i came up with

I'd just use some RTV silicone. Always works in those sortsa places.
......
But I do have a few problems with oil leaks on my ea81 ! 8O
