I have a 1990 brumy ute. When the headlights (outer lights) are on low beam they glow bright, but the two iner high beams glow dimly even though there not meant to be on. Could this be an earth problem or is it correct?

I'd say earths for sure, usually what happens with tail lights & earth is the cause

brumby's are negative switched like the MY wagons
i have had a similar problem before with h7 semi sealed inserts with metal backs where the back of the inside lights short to the body and in my case the high beam came on full whenever the headlights were turned on
