Recommend me best brand/type of spark plugs

Post by LIFTED » Tue Oct 04, 2011 1:06 am

Any recommendation of brand and type of spark plugs for my 92 2.2 liberty, After reading info on the net I'm thinking of NGK copper plugs as the perform as well as Irridium but need changing more frequently.
What have you used and been happy with?

Tells you all about plugs, Personally I'd go for NGK Platinum or Iridium but it comes down to price, they can be had pretty cheap on fleabay these days.

+1 for cheap standards, I've gone through about 3 sets of plugs with my car trying to figure various things out, and then there's that set the engine shop destroyed :???: If I'd bought expensive platinums or iridiums I'd be quite upset :o

You young guys don't know what Super leaded grade petrol did to plugs do you ? Unleaded and LPG runs plugs so clean. Used to service a petrol ULP car that used two sets for 200,000km. Only reason first were replaced at 100,000 was a long trip and had bought them 50,000km earlier !! Super and carbies with chokes used to grow whiskers on yer plugs

And would you believe leaded fuel is still used in Avation. OMG the problems it causes.

Two in 55 minutes - never been back to Vic since - 25 years !!
