Did you unplug the check engine code plugs?
The check engine will flash contiuously when the plugs are together and there is no faults

No probs.. only connect when doing diagnostics
For the cruise control.. does the light on the switch/dash come on? Does the relay inside the car sound like it clicks? and lastly, is the cable still connected to the trottle body?

Can I ask where/when did you buy the car?
Flooded cars have a terrible habit of throwing up all sorts of gremlins. I think flood damage write offs are now mandatory statutory (irrepairable) write offs...for good reason!

Sorry to ask again but want to be 100% sure, you did disconnect both the green and black plugs?
Also just have a look at all your fuses, both the ones inside and under the bonnet.

Done both what? plugs or fuses? or all the above?GTFOZZY wrote:yes have done both
The only time the Check Engine light will continually flash is when the plugs are joined or the ECU has a major fault. I doubt it will be the later but after all the troubles you're having it wouldn't surprise me.
I really recommend you get the car down to your closest dealership and get them to run the scantool over the whole vehicle. Might save a lot of headaches.
