60766244's Spotlight Setup for 1990 Brumby

Post by 60766244 » Tue Dec 04, 2012 10:07 pm

Reposting these images from my other tread so they are in the correct section and might be easier found.

I'm not top at wiring so this image helped me endlessly. Cheers to Gannon for this.

I revised it so it is specific to the type of Brumby I have.

Results.

Hopefully this will help others in their wiring and save them some time. :)

Cheers,

Nice work :) Think I worked out we just need to use both earth and power of the lighting and horn circuits on our added relays to make it all work - the trickle feed switching pos and the earth from original wiring to the relay, so no short black wire for the added relays earth just to the body like many other makes

all it is, for what ever reason, subaru decided to make all the 'switches' on the ground side and not the battery side. so for us we can use any +ve (eg under dash, battery, lights) but have to use the appropriate ground. the relays are actually wired slightly differently on a ground switched vehicle to a +ve switched car.

also steptoe, i am looking forward to the day i dont have to read your posts three times to understand them... :p
