Tacho

Post by ozbrumby » Mon Sep 16, 2013 7:39 pm

I have a 91 Brumby and it has big vacant dash insert beside the speedo.....was there a tacho supposed to be there or what.

Looks like they forgot to put something in there
can a tach be retro fitted in there with another model like the L series or early MY

You could but it would render the rest of your dash in operable. it would be easier to remove the clock and put a 52 mm tacho in its spot.

Or go newer and graft an "L" series display into your brumby.

good luck how ever you decide to do it

it is full of kenhard plastic supports behind the black display window, circuits and bulbs for all the warning lights. I started to butcher a spare cluster after ripping a tacho from an L Series. If doing so renders red warning lights not to work - rego reject, non ADR compliant modofication. Julian has done the 52mm thing with his clock hole but for oil presure I think, maybe not ya tacho.
