alarm for my outback
A recent spate of breakins into cars in my apartment block has encouraged me to explore car alarms.
Any experience would be appreciated. Makes? Models? Installers?
cheers

ive got autowatch....works great, very loud siren, motion and shock sensors etc etc. And it doesnt do that crappy thing how it locks all the doors after 30secs or whatever. It only locks all the doors if none of them are opened!

Recomend brand Autowatch.
Recomend installed by Me if i can be bothered.
Autowatch is handy in the way that you can sorta build your own alarm... choose your sensors and stuff and purchase em seperately.

Recomended sensors:
Interior Motion
and Shock sensor.
Possible Glass break if you get super keen. But if they break your glass either the shock sensor or Motion sensor will go off anyhows. However they can miss alarm on cold mornings when a hot sun rises.

hey im an installer in the car industry.... i find that shock sensors are the ones that are set of by loud exhausts and such.... get an alarm with glass break sensor if you can.... cyclops (dynamco) do alarms that meet australian standards and are insurance aprovied,, and can sometime lead to a drop in premium.... if your car has factory keyless entry, they provide alarms which intergrate into your standard system.... if you want more info check out http://www.dynamco.com.au
Let me guess... u work for Straithfeilds or Audiocom?
