Speakers and stereo is in.....

Post by Chopper05 » Mon Sep 17, 2012 12:54 pm

And here is the finished product......well almost. I got my hands on the console, thank you dfoyl. Its all sprayed up with charcol vinyl paint, and fitted in the car. Painted the console area around the gear shifter as well as with most brumbys it was all faded in looking a bit ordinary. Just need to go over the ash tray and fit another switch to fill the whole (which will turn on my tray lights )

I also fitted the 6.5" Jaycar Kevlar speakers into the doors, mounted on custom made MDF spacers and covered them with VR/VS commordore speaker/door pocket trims. Had to make them as the commodore spacers are made for 6" speakers. But the bonus is the MDF helps give off a solid base.

Again the colour match aint perfect but it looks the goods (from afar) n gives me extra storage. Thanks El Feddo for that suggestion. Stereo pumps as is so wont be worrying about my amp.

I'd like to pass that onto Tex who put me on to it in the first place... I've even got them in my L but the colour doesn't match AT ALL - grey on blue :p They serve a purpose better than the cosmetics of it all...

Cheers
