EJ loom chopping

Good news: I've got an EJ for my L.
Bad news: it's an EJ18 that i can't find wiring diagrams for. There are manuals around for lots of similar vehicles, but none to match this very one.

Thoughts:
There are 48 wires out of the ECU. There are 33 wires going into the engine bay that should be kept. The remaining 15 out of the ECU must include:
  • starter +ve (already identified)
  • battery +ve (probably a yellow or yellow-red)
  • ign +ve
  • fuel pump (could just run off ign +ve)
  • air con (which my car doesn't have)
  • signals for the instrument cluster (not needed)
  • what else?
If necessary, I could start by connecting as much as possible, then apply battery +ve to those remaining 15 wires until it works. But that would be tedious, dodgy, and I'd be a bit worried about whacking 12V onto a (low voltage?) circuit that might not be protected.

There's gotta be an easier way. Any ideas?

BTW, here she is.
Sat it in the car today for a look - the mounts lined up nicely, there's heaps of room on each side (EJ18 is a fair bit narrower than EA82), but space at the front is going to be tight - fans will probably have to go in front of the rad.

if its anything like the ej22 loom it should be simple, all i did was work back from the interior side of the loom not touching the wiring on the engine side side of the grommet.any plug that you know (double check) won't be getting plugged in under the dash cut it, trace the wire back into the loom and cut it befor were ever it split off from. that should get you 99% of the way.

just remember to keep attached the main relay and fuel pump relay.
