cpu power?

if the cpu and back up memory wire are both wired "on" constantly befor the ignition switch, would this drain enough power to kill the battery over night?
if so should i leave the back up memory wired befor the switch
and connect the main cpu power to the "on" position after the ignition switch?
also did anyone else have dash light problems after the ej swap, and if so are the any solutions eg "charge/brakefluid/brake light" lights in perticular.

If all your power wires are constant 12v then yes it is enough to flatten the battery. Generally not overnight but a few days will see if flat for sure.

Yeah it'll drain couple of days, someone wired up an radio by-passing the ing switch, he went away for a week and the battery was dead flat, reason that he did that was to prevent memory loss on the radio(!)

i have noticed that i cant operate the other windows (power) from the drivers panel. like there isn't enough power? this is with the new battery in.
the only other lead that i presume doesn't go via a ign switch is some of the old L series loom.
the auto electric guy had added a a wire from the alt straight to the ej loom right near the three main plugs.... may snip it see if it still runs could be where the power is draining from
