The L's don't really need a new head light relay system. The standard wiring is much better than the MY's attempt at lighting. Cheap and nasty bulbs or dull lens' are generally the reason the lights in the L aren't up to scratch.

If you do want to go through the nightmare of rewiring then the new-era headlight relays are a good choice. They have two relays in the one unit with a 30 amp fuse for each. Best way to wire them in is to wire a whole new loom in to your car. You can use the existing wiring at the dash to trigger the relays for high and low beam.

I did it all to my red RX and it takes freeking ages to do it neatly. It made stuff all difference to the lighting. I ended up buying some clean lens jap lights and they made more difference straight up. Better reflection gives better light.
