no black plug on ecu

Post by ww1313 » Sat Jan 08, 2011 12:51 pm

Hi guys,
After reading up on my 86 mpfi ea82 n/a Vortex (xt) as it had a fuel problem (pump shit itself) I check codes in ecu under rear parcel shelf as dash light never came on (only blinked once), With nothing connected and ign lights on it read code 12 and 33, connect green plugs as directed and got same results. Code 12 isnt a problem according to FSM and code 33 was coolant senser and so fixed that easily enough. Codes are all gone now in green connection and with no connection still get code 12. went to find black plugs and there isnt any, just a big red and a white plug with 9 pin female connections, So just wondering where black plug could be? any advice plz
My green plug is only a single wire in a T type connecter

Code 12 might be a model code designation (tells what car the ECU comes from)
my 88 EA82T had a code 7.
