twin sealed headlight convert to H4 globe

don't know if this has been listed before as only new to the forum and Subaru's. After having a look around and giving the old girl a tub and clean under the bonnet i notice the headlights are a sealed light unit, just wondering if their is a model with the same headlights but with the bulbs

These are superior to units with bulbs.
Navara make a replacement (think they also fit a Landcruiser) which with a little wiring upgrade, will result in a very nice light output.

little wiring upgrade"? lol.
The wiring upgrade seems daunting when you discover the unique "positive switching" but its not too hard. You can do it yourself or buy a kit like Venom did.
Are these sealed beams halogen? I used to have an old Ford Escort with sealed beams that i replaced with Hella halogen inserts & 100/90W globes...made a huge improvement. A friend had 150W sealed beams in his Datto 1600 but I'm sure mine were at least as bright.
Ah, Dattos...those were the days hahaha

You don't mention what car, but assuming you mean an MY. I keep some as spares and never in thirteen years 400,000km needed them! It is easier to just chuck on some driving lights hooked up through high beams with a separate switch to comply with ADRs.

car is a 1990 brumby MV only reason for the change is one has a cracked lens and one drive light is opac looking but they work

Having put in high power bulbs with my wiring upgrade, I really appreciate the much better light, both on low beam & high. Driving lights are great & i will be getting some as soon as the finances allow...but they only work on high beam.
So I would happily recommend you replace them esp as you may be able to put in glass inserts which will allow you to use the high power bulbs.

Depending on how you wire them, they can come on whenever you want.

the semi sealed beam replacements are for a landcruser
80 series fit the twin headlamp brumby
(if your not upgrading wiring use h4 lamps for all 4 the h1 units short earth to the body and high beam will come on and off with viabration or whenever you turn on the headlights)
and i think the single headlamp comes form the 100 series but not sure
