anyone else ?

Gannon started me on it , trying it compared to a $150 watchdog.

Think I just want as a rad fan controller, maybe extra alert at too hot if it can do it. The Chinglish instructions on its features arfg !!

has a funktion circuit and switch circuit, trying to get head around both and what they do different to each other.
Yet to power it up either, sla ckarse

I wouldnt worry about connecting anything to it

Just hook up your 12v supply and the loading like any other relay and all should be sweet.

How are you gonna secure your probe?

was thinking a custom aluminium bolt to engine do dad that has a hole to take the probe in a tight fit. Bit concerned the probe wire will not withstand the temperature rating of unit !!

How are you securing yours Gannon ?

I used one of these

I crimped it on and then covered it in heatshrink and snuck it under one of the water crossover pipe (on an EJ25) so it reads a combination of head and coolant temp.

Id say its fairly accurate as it sits around the 80-85deg most of the time while driving, and climbs to about 95deg when idling to where the cooling fan kicks in and pulls the temp back down. Full throttle up a hill towing a trailer, 96 was the highest ive seen
