problem with headlights

On a few occasions, my low beams have not turned on or turned themselves off. But they start working as soon as I put the high beams on for a few seconds and one one occasion, they started working as soon as I put the indicators on.

Maybe the relay contacts are dirty? Have a look in the engine bay for the relay box, find the headlights relay(s), take them out & give it a good clean

no one has the right type, except for Auto One who are going to try to order one in tomorrow, but theirs no guarantee they will be able to get one in a hurry.
