Is the little spring steel arm with the horn contact a separate unit from the indicator switch assembly or can it be replaced separately.
I will post in the wanted section anyway.

Can be removed but the parts shops (new or secondhand) sell them as a complete combo switch setup. I've seen a few people make up their own pins using a spring and a pop rivot

Nope.. this and the one Bantum posted are for the early L.Series and does not suit the Brumby. The Brumby use the same one as the 1980 to 1984 MY Series combo switch which has the hazard switch on the LHS of the stork

Not mine but from Peter's original post, it appears to be the little metal tab that springs up to touch the steering wheel. This piece of copper tab allows the +ve current up to the centre of the steering wheel. I've seen these replaced with a pop rivot and spring but never tried it myself. Looking at your pic, this copper strap piece looks like it's held on with 2 philips head screws?

The little spring steel arm with the points type contact is broken and I have no horn....some would say Viagra will fix it.
So I need the little arm held on with 2 screws as Paul said.
But my indicator arm itself is very wobbly so I thought I would just replace or have a replacement on hand as I have a feeling the base plate is broken as it is very wobbly so that sometimes you have to hold it with both hands to get off high beam as it moves so far back it fouls on the shroud.
I just didn't want to pull it apart and not have a spare assembly to work with if it is stuffed. I have some extra wiring and a LED in the shroud as well as I have the immobiliser light positioned in the shroud as well which is why I didn't want to have to pull it all out again once I pull it all apart to look at it.

And thinking about it the indicators don't cancel anymore so its either moved or grooved as your thread highlights.

I had a mate went to Honk Kong and took 1 and when it didn't work instantly he took another ....ended up in hospital
My mate fell asleep sunbaking got 2nd degree burns all over his legs as he fell asleep under an umbrella. Doctor prescribed Viagra when he asked why Viagra the doc said it will not do anything for the pain but will keep the sheets of your legs....LOL

If your indicator stalk is wobbly I'd be checking the mounting screws. On the MY/brumby I'm sure it's held in place by the shrouds over the steering column. On the L series it's mounted to the steering column.

you were right
I had a screw fall out from the bottom of the shroud and hit me in the ankle I thought where did that come from.
Then noticed the indicator stalk was even worse.
Pulled it apart last night and sure enough there are 2 screws from the bottom up near the steering wheel that screw the assembly to the shroud.One was missing and the other just fell out.
Found a coupla screws that were suitable and put em in tightened up and voila no more floppy stalk and the indicators cancel out again.
Now just have to find the little horn contact and replace it.
