Hi all, sorry if I'm digging up the past here. If anyone can point me to existing info that would be a great help!
I've swapped my Kenwood GX 201KE head unit (05 Outback) for an MP3 compatible GX 204KH (06-09).
The stereo component works fine, but I cannot control the climate control - although the module does power up fine. Anyone managed to find out what wires need swapping in that 8 pin socket? I don't really want to do blind testing as killing the module would kinda suck!

Umm - I'm not totally familiar with modern stuff ( still into old school gear ) but you could do a search for that info ( via google ) or similar which may help ... 
Then once you get hold of a wiring diagram for both items, you should be able to find out what connections you needs ...
Just for my own interest, I might do a 'look around' see what I can find as well - Do report results back here for future reference.
