Finally got fed up with the dim as headlights and fitted a upgrade loom from http://www.onlineautoparts.com.au
Cost $18.90 and took 15 minutes to fit. Voltage at the light went from 9.5 to full battery voltage.
Much like fitting HID lights as in plug and play fitting.images/smilies/icon_smile.gif

pictures of what you have done in a before and after with descriptions as well.

This just reads as a plug for the online car parts seller.

Don't know how to post a link. Listed as a universal wiring harness relay kit. Supposedly allows upgrade to 100/90 watt bulbs. The standard 60/55 would probably be kinder to the reflectors and seem plenty bright enough for normal usage.
