Nope. This is either the A/C Rev counter or the Wiper Control UnitDann wrote:just bringing up a past thread here with the flasher unit mine recently went when escorting a mate being towed at night, my hazard lights and indicators arent working so i'm guessing this should be the problem??? does the unit look like this... pic
The Flasher Unit should be a round silver looking unit

Not the wiper control unit, they have been grey boxes so far - that unit is something like the stop the electric fuel pump in case of an accident - about 350 bucks for a new one.
Dann, can you tel us year model or make date of your L, maybe even a pic of the indicators at the column. Er, you have checked fuses ?

yeah it's a 1992 l series standard one built- Jan 1992 on a Wednesday... haha jokes but the Jan 1992 part is right, and yes I've checked all fuses, can somone post a photo of the exact relay of the flasher unit, cause i thought it would be the silver canasters too but this thread says otherwise, anyway I put the car in test mode and one at a time swapped all the relays around( only the same type ones) with one that was working and all of them worked, unless the unit is tucked right up under the dash?

Well, if you fall for same thing I did,, I found power supply problems after my fusible link corrosion caused a nice voltage spike or surge - disabled everything for three weeks - did not kill the ECU, so I bypassed wires here there and bloody everywhere to eventually find the indicator bulbs had blown to the extent of shooting the filament to the inside of the glass and fusing to it - all of them coz I used the hazards while in limp mode to parents place - just got there and died. As I replaced the bulbs the flicker rate went from a constant bzzzzzz inside combo switch to a final ticker, ticker noise I desired at the end of four bulbs. Stupid me was pulling the reverse bulbs and finding they were OK , thinking they were indicator bulbsDann wrote: if its not the fuse and not the reply what else could it be???
haha hopefully thats not the case, all my globes are good and working, i'll be pulling apart the dash yet again tomoz, as i didnt have time today and hopefully replace the relay and it work, worst cause i'll start crying haha jokes

so eventually got around to changing the relay that i got from the auto store, the guy said that it would do the same thing as the original. I replaced the relay and... still nor working, checked all the fuses and globes again all good, so could it maybe be the switches the hazard switch and the indicator lever???
Heres the nice burnt hole in the old flicker unit and the new one I got given...

Ya know there are 2 types of flasher can, it relates to the pin polarity
