Long Distance Fuel Tank
I have enquired on offroadingsubarus.com as to whether or not anyone has hit up a long distance fuel tank in an L series?
Ive been put onto Xtreme_RX here at ausubaru but no response....i understand he's done it...
Im keen for the option of extra fuel for long trips i plan on doing. The convenience of not having to fill up as soon appeals to me
Has anyone got ideas of where one could go, or if its possible?...costs?...
Cheers, Jason

Best do a search on long range tanks but I think the general conclusion on here has been their not worth the effort Im welcome to be corrected though. But jerry cans suffice and its possible to mount a jerry can rack too!
87 targa brumby (Neglected),

Yeah i understand ey....it seems like everyone ive mentioned it to reckons by the time you've paid for the job...you coulda bought petrol for an entire trip :P....doubely even!
So i might bail on it......even a custom jerry that mounts inside my roofrack cage would be cool...i could be getting carried away though....:P
Id MUCh rather a jerry/wheel carrier on the rear bumber tho....(replacement bumper)....then i can remove the sparey from the cage!
Mods' are never ending!...
Cheers for ya input Tex

Sorry I haven't replied to peoples requests, i have been snowed under with work.
The tank fits in to the 'tool box' in that back of the wagon.
Price will be between $400 & $650 depending on final design....
More to come....

bit off topic, ive seen someone removing the tool box section in l series to install gas tank underneath... So if you wanna install another tank under that area - it can be done..
Cheers

To make it legal it needs to fill from out side the compartment (like the original tank) & the area it sits in needs to be sealed up....
