So far got the adapter plate mounted and have the engine bolted to the gearbox.
Changed the power steering rack to a liberty rack so it all fits together nicely.
Pics to follow.

As for the markings.. I have 3 EJ22s with the same markings, they still have the normal casing marks like you mention as well.

Is that the Liberty rad that i see? how did you get it to fit?
Not sure if I should but a lib rad in mine as on hot days like today, going offroad would definitely make the engine get hot.

Lib radiator is not necessarily better, it's a slightly larger core but most of them are just single core, best off using a dual core if you can (whether it's in an L series frame or a liberty one). I think the ultimate setup is a custom job in an L series frame because it fits in the car with minimal mods and you get it made with brass tanks. But they are expensive to get done.
I've had two done, both dual core. ElFreddo had a triple core one done!
Lib ones are good on the other hand because they are readily available for much cheaper and adequate cooling anyway, plastic tanks tho and have to mod your car a fair bit to make it fit..
Yeah certainly easy to make ur own adaptor plate at home (even the cutting is piss easy if you use ally).
Good work Paul looking good there! Glen I bet you can't wait to get behind the wheel.

It looks like your at about the same stage as me with my conversion! Have you gotten that itching feeling as well yet? The itching feeling to wanna go for a drive
I used a liberty radiator, mainly for the fact that i live on a farm 40 k's from town and more often than not, you clean up a wallaby or two.. so i'd hate to be paying for another custom jobby in a month or so. Are you running a lib or L radiator?

Current Projects: *Offroad Racing MY Touring Wagon.
* EA82T Jap spec L series Wagon.
Previous rides: *Supercharged EJ25 Rwd Brumby
* 2 x 91' L series Ej20, 3 inch lift, mud tyres.
01' Liberty B4.

Not sure what the "M" is on Ej22M but the engine came out of a 1990 liberty.FujiFan wrote:Hi everybody. As im only new to this forum and whole conversion of EA's to EJ's, could you please tell me if that is actually a EJ22M and if so from where was it sourced?

If/or when you go for the usual 27 inch tyres, try and get a set of rims that are of stock offset. They look super neat and will help get your subi over the pits easier I'd imagine. While I love the 27s on my subi I wish I had a set of rims of the correct offset... The way I see around this problem for me is a crossbred kit

Keep up the good work!
Cheers
