LegacyTT i am pretty sure that Neville Gosson used Corolla rear shocks on the rear of his lowered MY wagon to give him a good ride. Soft springs and firm shocks make a nice allround ride.

Thanks for the Corolla shock tip Suby Wan, will give that a try. As for the Impreza bits. I have a 5 stud conversion so a complete Impreza strut/hub on the front and modified rear hub to run the 5 stud brakes and rear handbrake.

The kit shown above will work. I have just loosely tested it and it will work. You simply need to mount it vertically on the trailing arm (the arm that runs at 45 degrees to the torsion bar) By the look of it should be possible to get 0 degrees camber out of it, or very close to which will be fantastic. I will post pictures tomorrow when i install it and finish it off. I can't wait to give a test drive, new front struts/springs and good camber in the front and back it should handle really nicely.

Here is the pics of the kit getting installed. I managed to get almost 0 degrees camber! I am very pleased with the results, it handles way better then had expected.... Highly recommend it to every one.

Kit cost about $150 from Kmac Suspension (http://www.k-mac.com.au). It is designed for the front control arm mount but works also on the back as i found out.

According to K-Mac they are Automotive Engineer designed and apparently don't need approval as long as they are installed by a qualified Mechanic/Engineer. I might look into it further, when i get a chance. Also if done right they would not know, unless they own or know lots about subi's.

The positive camber on the back with the L series springs was crazy to say the least around 3 degrees. Even with the bike on the back it doesn't even get close to 0 degrees. That was the main reason and other was to improve the handling slightly, which it well and truly did. I am still surprised at the difference it made to the handling, no more rear drifting about.....

Also the other is to hopefully improve the offroad characteristics, i.e wheels getting 100 % traction not like 80% with the tire on crazy angles. I am yet to properly test this.

So with the bracket made up.
And the Springs purchased.(Are they front? and what year?)
Is there much work involved? (to fit to a brumby?)
I dont want to play around with camber adjustment crap....
Does this matter too much???

Cheers Cam

thread from the dead......
if your talking honda springs i think they are front prelude(?) pm steptoe i think he did them
i was under the impression brumbies ran a different type of suspension than L series.

camber with a lift is major. the lift give more positive camber and just screws up all geometry
