Post by hypoman » Thu Feb 09, 2012 10:35 pm

hey does anyone know if the rear struts out of an L series would fit an 89 liberty wagon?

Ive got plenty of Lseries spares but no libertys.

Not possible.

The L series struts are bascially a shock absorber with a spring mounted to it.

The Liberty's is basically the same, but the bottom of the strut bolts to the hub and is responsible for keeping the wheel vertical if you get what I mean.

I have a set you can have from a gen 1 series 2 wagon you can have for postage. Just swap the rear springs and top hats and they will swap over

If you've got all those L series at the farm hypo, I'd suggest that you check out this thread: L series low range into EJ dual range gearbox.

Do that then drop the new box in to the liberty ;)
