Two Speedometers...
Two Speedometers...
gday.
um, yeah just speculating whether or not it COULD BE possible to have two speedometers:
one for normal tyres;
one for bigger tyres.
It'd be safer if i wanted to change from bigger tyres to normal tyres, ya know?
if not, who re-calibrates speedometers? how is it done? (not that I plan on doing it myself. Probably end up reading out 30km/h doin 80. thatd go down well)

If you were going to that much effort I think I'd get a speedo thats fed from an electronic pulse, attach a hall effect sensor to the end of your existing speedo cable and have 2 switchable configurations, not sure exactly how feasibale that is, i kinda just pulled it out of my...err..head

better still, I got a roadangel EVO which sits on the dash with inch high , highly accurate gps speedo - bonus being all the road sense software...red/speed/van speed detection locations, school zones, railway x ings , towns, keep points on licence and money in ya pocket if you obey it !! and if you can import the radar detctor that plugs in the back, well....
Roadangel EVO
Never heard of them before, but look like a really cool idea. I'd probably buy one if they could be connected to a PDA with gps navigation software loaded in.
