Hi all, I am a total newbie to the forum, so please be gentle!!
I was wondering if anyone who has done this conversion is able to give me the heads up on any major dramas. I had one guy tell me that my crossmember wouldnt be right then another tell me that the gen 1 cross member is ok. Any help would be appreciated.
thanks

HI there and Welcome.
Done this conversion and was very pleased with the results, although the conversion mechanically is very straight forward you will need to swap alot of plugs over and possibly replace the rear harness to a later model one.
Crossmember wise use the TT one they bolt straight in no problems if you are swappin to to auto or manual you will need that front piece of tailshaft and of course the diff to match it. if you are using a late model diff you will need either the late model driv shafts for the rear or at a minimum the inner cups.
I could rattle on here for hours but i wont if you need any more help just ask, if you are in Bris it could be easier.

Yeah a Gen1 crossmember is okay but it must be a turbo one - thats the difference. It has a dip in it to clear the turbo exhaust.
As SWK says, a turbo crossmember is a straight swap, just have to source one. If you have a frontcut use that one
