Yes Cam but that could mean a whole range of engines.
Maybe he has a Version VIII JDM WRX STI Spec C with a DCCD 6 speed lurking under that early model WRX scoop. He already has a 5 stud conversion and some nice WRX seats.

Here are some more photos.

Its a but rough around the edges but it was built to be driven not polished. sort of a sleeper too thats why I kept it at the standard height.

This was all done in my oldies shed very much a backyard job. it all started when i got my first subaru and discovered the drive line layout and thought i wonder if a wrx is simalar a quick search on google and i found this site. once i knew it could be done then the search for the right car + half cut it was surposed to be buy $5000 brumby in good nick do the conversion and that was it end up finding $650 heap and thought mabey could spend a bit on a spray job and some nice seats then i bought the half cut home with complete rear diff disc to disc and thought why not go that bit further and convert the rear to strut so i could utlise the brakes as well. in the end about 15 months of work but a lot of fun.

Is the rear track wider than the front, or is it just how it looks in the photo?
Nice job though, well done!!!!!.

OK that was back in 2007 I believe...what's happened since then..do you have anything to offer or advice???

would be great to know as i think there are a few of us with brmbies that we would like to show up a bit.

A fibergalss tonneau for my 08 rodeo cost $600 so surely we can get one made up for this much?

Started this a week ago and just remembered this thread. I found a cheap Triton tonneau and started hacking away. Probably will be awhile til I get a mould and everything done but should look good in the end.

Bit short and was too wide so I've been cutting on the blue lines. Next up is the stretch.

It will be flat and mount off the stock bar halfway up the window.

Possibly spaced back slightly so I can have a large enough area for a decent hinge, drainage and to cover my spare..

Hi all

Have been doing alot of research into hardtops, and came across something interesting. Has anyone tried to mod a proton jumbuck hardtop to fit a brumby?

Proton Tray approx 1640mm long and 1390mm wide
Brumby Tray approx 1630mm long and 1350mm wide

^^ these measurements aren't exact, but the proton hardtop seems the closest fit and possibly the easiest to modify to fit??

Anywho food for thought.

cheers
