I used to be a bit of a nerd and collected stamps - new ones, gutters, blocks, sheets etc, then discovered that Aus Post were making a buck out of printing stamps , a fee for service, and not having to provide that service because we stash away for growth. A few years ago when market fell out of many stamp stuff , discovered auction houses selling for about half face value for business to save on postage.

Started using my own collection with special ones put out of the way, until Saturday when I picked out a coupla 60 cents jobbies. Sickening feeling as I think I realised they may have been the misprints - sperm whale appearing on behalf of the hump back - rings a bell. They were going to be my retirement fund. GULP !!

Looking good. I can see it coming together now.
The weather here (Friday) is windy cold grey sky and looks as if it will tip it down at any moment!

That was quicker than my parcel from WA this time last year and it was *cough Overnight Express Post. Looks like a good ad for old registered Aussie Post as well. Sort of expected a surgical removal but looks like lid came off with a crowbar then

Hey Guy's
Jonno has asked me to upload this image of his pet bird - Bernie Lilfudd. Apparently Bernie has helped Jonno in the task of shredding foam from a old seat for the purpose of packaging up the extended thermostat housing (shown a few posts further back on this thread)

Hats off to this little fella - he's a bird that gets my vote !

See the Subaru labels there, going genuine is dedication and an indication that they do not sell many here due to after market stuff they have to come from the motherland.
Giles, it may be time to suit up your daughter in overalls to get her involved - seeing as though this one is for her :) (you say)

Jonno - Yeah.. Genuine only :p which probably had something to do with not available aftermarket :( can find plenty of non powersteer and L.Series ones but :???:

Giles - I'm lucky I guess.. My daughter loves to change out interiors in cars.. may had something to do with her ( aged 8 ) wanting to help Dad in the shed :)
