Subject: Cold Air Intake for Australian 04 Subaru Outback

Dear Sales,

I am inquiring about a Cold Air Intake Kit for an Australian 04 Subaru
Liberty Outback equipped with air temp sensor.

Please provide a quote for a Blue CAI kit, Blue Vacuum Hoses, Blue silicon
adaptor and shipping costs to Brisbane, Australia.

I have attached some photos to help identify my vehicle.

Regards Glen

Response from COSMO Racing

Hello,

Thanks for your inquiry and photos. We do not carry any intake for your
model; however, we might be able to custom work one for it.
We need some info below:
1. The 2 measurements in length please check photo attached dsc001281 for
reference.
2. the diameter of the throttle body. See photo attached dsc001301
3. how many hoses connected onto the stock intake manifold and tube and the
hose inside diameter?

We value your business. If you have any questions or concerns, please be
sure to let us know.

Thanks,

Paul

I've seen bits like that at a local performance shop, no need to go ordering stuff from USD$

Oh and I was at supercheep the other day, hadn't been there for ages, and wow they had a huge new range of performance good stuff, including those blue silicon hoses of all different kinds, check it out.

You shouldnt need a cold air intake if you have the factory air filter box. It gets its air from the drivers side fender which is fed from beside the radiator. Remove the intake snorkel that is inside the fender and just leave the airbox as is.

You can get equal length headers off ebay for cheap.

Suparoo, can you elaborate on this... and will it work on my 97 Forester?

I have considered putting a K&N Airfilter on and modifing all the air intake stuff...

Dont even bother with a K&N filter, the factory filter is not restrictive.

Show me a photo of your engine bay, that will help a lot with what to do with the intake
